Map reduce is dead

In I/O today Google announced that they are not anymore using MapReduce. Google change the way we thought by using cheap computers for processing data. Right now MapReduce is used in a lot of research and others.

The problem is that MapReduce does not work well with streaming analytics.

What new paradigm will appear for replace MapReduce?

Mac OS X Yosemite and Alfred

Just watching the Apple keynote today and I think the new Spotlight of OS X Yosemite is like a copy of the app Alfred. What do you think?

How to use delete key as delete key in Windows and not as a backspace key?

Quick answer:

fn+delete

If you want to delete a file in the Finder just use command+delete

Why I put this in my blog?

A good friend ask me this easy question, but I remember my first day using Mac I didn't know this "trick" and it was very frustrating to move the mouse or the arrow keys every time.
So I didn't tell him in that moment I told him: check my blog I will answer you.

Nintendo 2DS

For me it is too big but I am not a fan of 3D screens and stuff so it is nice to return to2D.
It is compatible with all the games of the 3DS.

What is Mighty No. 9

Keiji Inafune, the creator of Mega Man, is trying to found his new project in Kickstarter.
His goal is 900000 dollars for create this new game called Mighty No.9.

Here we can see some concepts that he has.
The game is going to be for PC and then maybe Linux and Mac and other platforms.
By watching the concept I can remember the old games of 8-bits and 16-bits in 2D, this is like a modern version of them with beautiful graphics.

When I was writing this the project has pledged  $402,362.
All the fans of Mega Man are invited to contribute.
If founded the game will be ready in 2 years, that not too long....



I think a version for iOS or Android devices could have a good reception too.

Kickstarter - Fuel: un poquito de bateria extra para tu celular

Encontré este producto en Kickstarter y lo compre inmediatamente porque mi celular nunca termina el dia y en la noche justo tengo que hacer una llamada importante o mandar un mensaje importante.

Para esto esta este aparatito que es un clásico cargador de batería como los que hay en el mercado pero la diferencia es que este es pequeño y su diseño exterior.

Tiene un conector micro-usb que es normalmente lo que usan las principales marcas de teléfono hoy en dia. Excepto Apple, para ello se sacara una versión especial con el conector Lightning pero a futuro porque aun van a hacer cambios en el prototipo. Se puede reservar la versión para iPhone pero tendrán que esperar
